Trying to find a new laptop charger cable for my toshiba satellite A210 12U?

Im looking on ebay to find a replacement for my laptop charger cable but all the cables that are supposedly compatible with my laptop have a different output current. My old laptop charger cable has an output current of 3.95A but the cables listed as compatible with my laptop have an output current of 4.74A. Whenever i find a cable that has an output current of 3.95A and an output voltage of 19V they are not listed as compatible. Does it matter?

As long as the voltage are the same, laptop chargers with any amperage should work. You should also consider looking at amazon, google shopping, and etc. before making your purchase, though. Ebay always have the cheapest laptop chargers but you will never know if they are reliable or not. My dad bought his replacement laptop charger there and it burned up his battery and laptop when he left it charging one day. Just be sure to read all the specifications, warranties, and policies before buying.

Personally, I would really suggest buying a replacement from http://www.topmicrousa.com. I bought my laptop charger there last year and it is still working fine (comparing to the bad experience from my dad).
