how to conect new vista laptop to router to get internet connection?
Purchased PC and it can see we have wireless router but not sure what I need to do to get the live connection. I am new at this but our base PC is hooked up to wireless router working fine just trying to add my laptop to use internet. How do I do this?
Normally you would point Internet Explorer to your router and enable wireless. You need to know what router your using and then go to your router’s manufacturers website for instructions. For Instance, If you have a linksys you would go to http://www.linksys.com (the most common router) and go to support and they have manuals to describe how to setup the connection. Please be sure to have some measure of security to stop hackers from using your internet connection. Wireless CAN be tricky, even after you get it working.
